Before the clinical results came back the texts were pouring in: It was awards season, and makeup artists were applying lab samples of our new under-eye serum to some of the world’s most notable faces—they were shocked at the immediate, subtle eye lift effect it was giving before red carpets and parties. That’s exactly the kind of stamp of approval we require before giving the okay to any new formula.
Metacine Contour Collection EyeLift Bioremodeling Complex is a regenerative approach to the skin under the eyes that’s as unique as the area itself is. With 12 bioactives and a formula that can be used all around the eyes — including the upper lids — the serum is clinically proven to address the crepiness, sagging, and dark circles that the eye area is especially susceptible to.
Why the Eye Area Is Uniquely Prone to Aging
The skin on the eye naturally has fewer collagen and elastin fibers, and lower levels of sebum and hydrating ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids than the rest of the face. At the same time, it’s thinner, with increased vascularity. This all combines to create skin that is more prone to dryness, wrinkles, laxity, and a blue-ish tint. These are not easy to address at home, and a formula that just gives a quick blurring effect does little for the eye area after you wash it off.
EyeLift goes further, leveraging your skin’s own bioregenerative capabilities so the skin around the eyes can act younger, look smoother and brighter, and be better protected against signs of aging in the long run.
How EyeLift Works: The Bioremodeling Peptide Complex

This regenerative approach is rooted in our bioremodeling peptide complex, which supports your skin’s own synthesis of collagen and hyaluronic acid, while actively inhibiting matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) -- enzymes that are responsible for breaking down collagen and accelerating skin aging. Imagine youthful skin around the eyes as a closely knit net. MMPs that are in the skin actively try to destroy that net, so as you get older, the net widens and widens -- but if you can keep the net taut, you can keep the skin firm and youthful. The peptides in EyeLift were chosen specifically as active agents to fight the breakdown of that net. Plus, using EyeLift daily is like wielding a brush that strengthens and reinforces the fibers of the net with biopolymers that help keep it intact.
The complex works so well because it contains four carefully selected peptides for supporting collagen production and inhibiting MMPs: Tripeptide-, Hexapeptide-9, Caprooyl Tetrapeptide-3, and Polypeptide-47. That last one is bioidentical to a collagen that is found in your own skin -- that means it is a rare biocompatible synthetic collagen that is biocompatible and can help with collagen banking and encourage new collagen synthesis.
Key Ingredients and What They Do
Retinoids, meanwhile, are one of the best ingredients in skin care for boosting collagen and elastin production, and smoothing crepiness -- in theory that’s a win for treating and preventing laxity and wrinkling around the eyes. But retinoids can also be sensitizing, and the thin skin around the eyes is easily irritated (actually, that’s another reason it tends to age quickly, because irritation can have an aging effect). By pairing retinoids with hyaluronic acid, however, we found a way to cushion retinoids for a smoothing, firming complex that can even be used on the delicate skin on the upper lids -- this was important because the upper lids are so susceptible to crepiness and laxity.
Another form of hyaluronic acid -- a rapid-acting topical hyaluronic acid ultrafiller -- is also in the serum, and gives immediate wrinkle-plumping results while addressing the dryness that can otherwise age the eye area, making it look older and more tired.
To improve under-eye circles, we’ve fortified the serum with chestnut seed extract that helps to boost microcirculation and reduce vascular pigmentation.
For under-eye puffiness and fatigued skin, we’ve added hydrolyzed rhodophycea extract.
And for the quick lift the makeup artists marveled at, we’ve included chestnut seed extract, a film-forming biopolymer whose visible firming benefits even include lifting crow’s feet in 15 minutes.
Clinically Proven Results
In third party independent clinical trials on 33 participants (age 33-65, representing all skin types on the Fitzpatrick scale), using EyeLift twice daily for 12 weeks was shown to:
- Improve under-eye crepiness and eye contours at 4 weeks on 96% of participant.
- Improve under-eye dark circles and firmness of skin around the eyes at one and four weeks on 100% of participants
How EyeLift Complements Professional Eye Treatments
We know EyeLift works, and it works well -- all while being well-tolerated around the eyes, even on the delicate upper lid skin. This makes it an ideal adjunct to the kinds of surgical and non-surgical procedures Dr. Diamond tailors to his patients. In office, chemical peels and CO2 lasers help prompt collagen production and thicken skin around the eyes in order to both treat and prevent sagging and crepiness around the eyes -- this is a key component of his comprehensive and customizable Diamond Facial Eye Contouring treatment. EyeLift is designed to offer similar collagen-boosting, wrinkle-smoothing benefits at home -- both the professional treatments and EyeLift can make your skin act younger, so it looks healthier in the long run.
In office, neuromodulator injections are used to strategically and subtly raise the brows to address heaviness above the eyes, or a temporal brow lift can be a more permanent solution. It might be paired with an upper blepharoplasty when the brow lift alone is not enough. At home, EyeLift can have a much more subtle but still visible lifting effect with form-filming biopolymers from chestnut seed extract, while two complexes -- our bioremodeling peptide complex and retinoid and hyaluronic acid complex -- create firmer skin over time, so the eyes area ages better.
Used on its own or with professional treatments, EyeLift works to address signs of aging, while enabling your body to do what it does best -- only a little bit better with some help from Metacine.
