The new Dr. Diamond’s Metacine HYDR/O Bioactive Hydrolipid Barrier Moisturizer introduces technology that allows it to penetrate deeper into theskin for lasting hydrating and a stronger skin barrier.
You know a moisturizer is good when people are calling you about it from
mountaintops around the world. “During formulation, we had our own in-clinic focus
group, and it was validating when patients would text me from Aspen, text me from
Gstaad, text me from St. Moritz, on top of a mountain and say their skin still feels
hydrated mid-day, hours after application,” says Tammy Goodarzi, Co-founder and
Chief Brand Officer of Dr. Diamond’s Metacine. “That was the goal, and it delivers.
The new Dr. Diamond’s Metacine HYDR/O Bioactive Hydrolipid Barrier Moisturizer
is their first product outside of The InstaFacial Collection trio, which is designed to
mimic the Hollywood-favorite Diamond InstaFacial at home. Despite being so
lightweight, the anti-aging moisturizer packs a punch with hydration and barrier
preservation. According to research published in the journal Cells, maintaining an
intact skin barrier is essential to skin health. Powered by Bioactive Hydrolipid
Fusion, a proprietary blend of bio-identical hydrophilic and lipophilic
micromolecules, it’s clinically proven to hydrate, soften skin, improve radiance,
address signs of aging, even skin tone and protect.
“A lot of moisturizers just sit on the surface of the skin and trap in moisture on the
surface, but they're not getting deeper into the epidermis to make a significant effect
on decreasing transepidermal water loss and increasing barrier strength and
function,” says Dr. Jessica Combs, Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer of Dr.
Diamond’s Metacine. “We created this patent pending new composition of matter,
Bioactive Hydrolipid Fusion, and it’s multiple ingredients, skin identical lipids and
fats, like cholesterol, ceramides and fatty acids, with water. We're fusing the water
together with the skin identical lipids and turning it into bio activated water so that it
can rapidly absorb into the skin—they don't just sit on it. They hydrate significantly
from cell to surface. Once they're in the skin these molecules are like a humectant.
They help hold water in and keep water from evaporating. All of this is improving the
barrier function. The function of our epidermis begins to decrease as we get older.
The lipids in there don't work as well to stick the cells together and maintain the
barrier. We are giving back to the skin.”
HYDR/O Bioactive Hydrolipid Barrier Moisturizer can be used by every skin type
and need. “When I develop products, I consider both women and men,” Dr. Diamond
says. “HYDR/O is a power player by formula, but it also has a lightweight consistency
that both my male and female patients love."
